Making good things happen in our community!

With your continued support and generosity we are able to continue our tradition of

'making good things happen in our community'

For our Relocation

BVO is moving to its new location on King Street in Thornbury in early spring 2018. Our new premises will offer an efficient and functional space from which to continue "making good things happen in our community", including single level accessibility,  plenty of parking, volunteer gathering/meeting space, on-site storage, staff office space, and both a retail and sorting area for the Treasure Shop.

The sale of our current building on Bruce Street will help to considerably pay down the mortgage required to purchase the new location. But we require funds to further pay it down and renovate the new building to suit our needs.  Please give generously to our Relocation Fund. Donations are gratefully accepted by cash, cheque or e-transfer.

For our Emergency Needs

We accept donations of non-perishable items for our Emergency Needs Food Bank throughout the year. Items frequently needed are peanut-free snack items for school lunches, 100% fruit juice boxes or cans, cereal, granola bars, crackers, canned fruit/vegetables/tuna/salmon, pasta, pasta sauce, condiments, pork & beans, soups to include chunky cup-a-soup or regular soup, jello, pancake/muffin mix, jam, peanut butter, etc.

Hold your own Food Drive! This is something any individual, community group or business can do any time of year -– there's always someone in our community that needs food. If you call ahead of time we can provide you with a list of most needed items. Items can be dropped off at BVO during business hours Monday-Thursday or can be left in donation bins outside.

For Emergency Needs and Treasure Shop

We are always looking for saleable, clean clothing in good condition – things that you would consider buying! Drop off at the Treasure Shop during our operating hours or put in donation bins outside.
