We are pleased to announce BVO's newest project Answers4Seniors. Answers4seniors is designed to help seniors and caregivers in Town of the Blue Mountains find resources and services in our community. New Territory for Seniors is a BVO education and information series for seniors and caregivers. Wide-ranging information including housing, finances, and health services are included so seniors are better able to navigate the complicated network of government & community support programs. Good food for good value! This monthly fruit and vegetable buying cooperative makes healthy food available at a very reasonable cost for anyone in The Town of Blue Mountains community. This service runs September - June. Learn more.
Grocery Delivery is available to seniors living in the Town of Blue Mountains/Thornbury/Clarksburg who do not have transportation or are recently home from the hospital. In partnership with Thornbury Foodland, you will be able to place a grocery order with Foodland and a BVO volunteer will pick up the order and deliver it to your home. Learn more.
Transportation is available for medical, dental, legal and individual or parent counseling appointments. This service is available to any resident of the Town of Blue Mountains/Thornbury/Clarksburg. Learn more.
Do you know a senior, relative or neighbour who might enjoy a friendly, regular visit from a fresh face? BVO has a dedicated group of volunteers, matched to seniors, who provide visits. Learn more.
Christmas Hampers include gifts, clothing, festive foods and treats for people in our community who may need assistance and support over the Christmas holidays. Donations of food, gift cards, clothing and toys are assembled and hampers are prepared by a group of BVO volunteers. Learn more.
