You or your group could win $1,000 for your community service in 2023!
On the occasion of our 40th Anniversary in 2023, BVO is pleased to announce its “Making Good Things Happen” Awards to recognize individuals or groups who have made a positive impact in The Blue Mountains. BVO will be presenting four $1,000 awards, one for each decade of our 40 years, at our 2023 AGM in 2024.
We’re looking for individuals or groups whose contributions have made a recognizable and positive impact in 2023. The impact may be on our environment, a benefit to children, families, seniors, youth or individuals, something new in our community, or an improvement on something that already exists.
As examples, you may have started a local citizen’s environmental initiative, a fundraising drive for a worthwhile endeavour, or your group may have spearheaded a refugee sponsorship program in our community.
Anyone or any group wishing to be considered for an award can either be nominated or apply themselves. Nominations or applications must be submitted to BVO by January 31, 2024.
